Systems Performance Lead / Systems Technician

Our client is based in South Dublin and operates a critical, reliable, and technologically advanced navigation infrastructure. We're looking for a Systems Performance Lead, to join their operations team to support operations activities. This role would suit a candidate who has previous experience as a Systems/Electronic Technician.

You will be based in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin and will be expected to travel to sites as and when required.

The Ideal Candidate:
If you have the following skills, you will be a great fit for the role, and we want to hear from you:

  • Experienced systems, radio radar or electronic technician with relevant professional qualification
  • Team player with good communication (written and oral) and people skills
  • Excellent fault finding/problem solving & diagnostics skills.
  • Strong ICT skills.
  • Good organisational, planning and logistics skills.


Bonus Requirement:

  • Automated Navigation Systems experience is a bonus.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • You will work closely with other team members in the management of the software systems to improve workflow, monitoring, reporting, fault analysis and rectification of critical defects and outages in the systems.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring fault analysis of critical defects and outages that take place including reporting and any subsequent follow up to ensure the reliable operation of the systems.
  • In some cases, you will lead the deployment of third-party contractors.
  • This role will be a "Super User" for the in-house maintenance software platform, a cloud service and mobile app, resources, and reporting for the operations department.
  • In conjunction with ICT, you will lead on the implementation and use of the work management system, training, and upskilling initiatives on all systems-based maintenance platforms for the team and acting as primary point of contact to the users of these systems.
  • Liaising with the work supervisor to ensure the management of critical spare parts stock, automatic identification systems.
  • Assist in the management & co-ordination of the maintenance of AIS equipment application software.
