On the 11th of February 2014, Right Management and Experis Ireland hosted the first Female Leadership Seminar at The Westin Hotel, Westmoreland Street, Dublin.
The theme was Female Leadership: Unlocking Hidden Talent in Your Workforce.
The seminar was hosted by Niamh Cornally, Head of Client Services, from Experis Ireland and Fiona Claridge, Senior Account Director, from Right Management.
At the interactive, and thought-provoking event, our guest speak was Ali Reardon, Head of Coaching from Right Management. Ali discussed real life case studies and explored how to provide women in organisations with the confidence they need to overcome both organisational and self-imposed obstacles which prevent them from progressing.
Meanwhile, David Ringwood from Management Research Group presented recent research on leadership effectiveness and gender, focusing on behaviours of highly effective female leaders.
Other guest speakers on the morning included Libby Gribben, Senior EMEA HR Director at Xilinx and Leslee Mathews, Group HR Director at Enterprise Rent A Car.
As a group, attendees discussed the risks of not supporting senior female talent in organisation’s and the consequences to businesses of ignoring this subject.
